“Cheap” date

IMG_1713

You know you don’t have to spend a bunch of money to have a date with your man, right? I am loving our weekly date night and we have had so much fun and have become so much more creative with how we spend our time together.

This last week we enjoyed popcorn and a movie! I had saved a bottle of sparkling strawberry lemonade that I found with a coupon weeks ago, baked some homemade cookies, and popped some yummy popcorn (the old-fashioned and only way to do it). I had all the ingredients for everything so we spent nearly nothing for this date! I did rent a movie, but that was $1.00.

Our kiddos are enjoying mommy and daddy date nights too—they always enjoy reading the popsicle stick throughout the week and tend to look forward to our looking forward to it too. It is certainly fun, and I pray we can set an example to them even now that you should never stop dating your spouse.

We were supposed to take a walk this week, but it was freezing last night so we changed it to something else. It’s fun to be spontaneous at times too.

We have enjoyed doing a fun children’s date too lately. Last week we popped popcorn and played darts and this week we went on a trip to watch donuts being made at Krispy Kreme. We each enjoyed a free donut too from our valentines free coupons.

So, what are you doing with your spouse this week? Do you have something special planned? What about your littles? Are they enjoying fun with you too?

So thankful for the time God has given us and look forward to much more.
