I’d have to be honest and say that we are true Americans who LOVE pizza. But, I LOVE homemade pizza even better. I like making it from scratch and to know it’s all fresh ingredients makes it so much better.
1 cup warm water (use 1/2 and add as needed to dough)
2 T oil (I like to use olive oil)
3 cups flour
2 tsp yeast
2 tsp sugarIf you want to roll the edges too and stuff with cheese, that’s easy to do. Melt a bit of butter and brush on edges and sprinkle with garlic and parmesan to give a yummy tasting crust!
Knead all ingredients together. I like to sprinkle some garlic and oregano into the dough too, but that is optional.
Roll onto 2 cookie sheets or pizza pans and use a fork to poke holes all around. Bake at 400 until lightly browned. This helps it not be mushy crust when you bake again.
Tomatoes (I usually use a can of diced and a can of sauce)
1/2 c. onion
1 T basil
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. oregano
2 garlic cloves
1/4 tsp. pepper
Let simmer and then cover baked dough.
Top with every and all toppings your heart desires! Throw in fridge or freezer until ready to bake and serve. Bake at 400 until heated and cheese is melted. Enjoy!
What do you eat with your pizza? We like chips with ours---strange, huh!
