Day 28- Soups Galore--Recipe share

Soups are one of my favorites! And, my children love them too. So, when I can throw ingredients in the crockpot in the morning and let it simmer all day, why wouldn’t I? Enjoy just a few of our favorites.

Andrew’s Cheeseburger soup (he helped me create this one)

4 c. browned ground beef
1/2 cup water
5-6 cups peeled and chopped potatoes
1 1/4 c.diced celery
1 cup diced onion
2 cloves minced garlic
3 beef bouillon cubes
salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika,oregano and a dash of basil for taste
2 1/2 c. water
5 cupsmilk
6 Tflour
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Brown beef then combine with 1/4 c. water. Add veggies, bouillon, water and spices. Cover and cook for 20 minutes until veggies are tender.
Combine  1 cup milk and flour and pour over meat and stir. Add rest of the milk and stir until thickened.
Remove from heat and add cheese.



2 (14.5 oz) Stewed Tomatoes
3 (15.5 oz) Kidney beans
2 (6 oz) Tomato Paste
1 (14.5 oz) Diced tomatoes
1 (8oz) Tomato sauce
2 lbs ground chuck
2 packages chili seasoning (or make your own)
1 cup. water
3 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 chopped green pepper
1 chopped onion
Crockpot on low all day.
Serve with sour cream, fritos, and cheese


Swaffer Zuppa Toscana

1 lb Italian sausage
4 large potatoes sliced thinly
1 chopped large onion
2 minced cloves of garlic
1 1/2 c.kale or swiss chard
2 cans chicken broth
1 qt water
1 cup whippingcream
Garlic,season salt, pepper, and paprika to taste.

Crockpot on low all day.

Autumn soup

Autumn Soup

3 lbs ground beef, browned (or you can use shredded beef)
1 chopped onion
1 (28 oz) can Tomato sauce
3 cans diced tomatoes
8 chopped peeled potatoes
2 cans green beans
1 large bag frozen corn (or 3 cans)
2 cans carrots (or bag of frozen
5 celery stalks chopped
2-3 quarts water
3 T Kitchen bouquet
Garlic, basil, salt and pepper to taste

Crockpot on high 6-7 hours
