Beef Stroganoff, Rice, & Garlic Cheese Biscuits~ Day 9

One of our family favorites is Beef Stroganoff over rice or egg noodles! The recipe is pretty simple and this dish goes a long way filling every belly in its path.

Beef Stroganoff

1/2 c. minced onion
1 clove minced garlic
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
2 T flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream

Sautee’ onion and garlic in butter over medium heat. Stir in meat; brown. Stir in flour, soup, and spices. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Stir in sour cream and heat through. Serve over hot, buttered noodles, rice or mashed potatoes.

Garlic Cheese Drop Biscuits

2 c. AP flour

1 T baking powder

2 tsp. Sugar

½ tsp. Cream of tarter (or few drops of vinegar)

¼ tsp. Salt

½ c. butter

1 c. milk

Add ¾ c. shredded cheese, garlic powder, and a dash of parsley!

Mix all and cut in butter then add milk. Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet and bake at 450 for 10-12 minutes.
