Chicken Casserole~ Day 26

One of my childhood favorites was crunchy chicken salad. My momma would make a ginormous pot of white rice and a deep dish pan of this heavenly creation and our family of 11 would chow down. She usually made her homemade rolls and a big bowl of salad to top it off.chicken casserole

Chicken Casserole

6 cups cooked chicken, cubed
1 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
Mix these 3 ingredients.
Add:
1 cup miracle whip
2/3 cup milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Spread in 9x13 pan. Sprinkle with cheese and crush 2 cups corn flakes over cheese with a sprinkle of slivered almonds.
Bake at 325 for 30 minutes
Serve over rice.
